There have been intermittent problems reported by users with the
Buy It Now feature, with the button on the bottom of the page not
working. This problem appears to be more frequent with users
of WebTV. Buy It Now information

ebaY ran well for most of 11 Dec. ebaY picture services went down
during the evening hours on 11 Dec. ebaY reported on 12 Dec at
00:16:06 PT that users were receiving error messages when
uploading their to ebaY picture services. This was reported fixed
at 23:00 PT. ebaY had a short outage at 19:17:53PT that lasted for
approx 4 minutes. At 20:34:59 ebaY posted that they were going
to take the site down for emergency maintenance on Wed 13 Dec
from 00:30 PT to 00:45 PT.

We have been asked by some subscribers to list the ongoing ebaY
problems and limited or disabled features.
1. My ebaY only shows the first 600 items on a sellers list instead
of all items. 2. Completed search only shows 15 days (we have
been waiting nearly two years for its promised return to 30 days).
3. Item indexing is slow on title search approx 2 to 4 hours, and
very slow on description search 24 to 36+ hours. 4. Revised items never
get indexed to search. 5. Search results show up in various garbled
forms, particularly on the second and subsequent pages of search
results. 6. The Sport section intermittently causes items to show up on
seller search as closed, even though they are still running. 7. Bids
are not updated on search results, often for the life of the auction, so
items in search results might appear to have no bids, despite the fact
that they have several bids. 8. When relisting payment information
disappears on relist, requiring a revision to the listing. 9. Mister
Lister is intermittently down.
10. Auctions missing from sellers lists and seller search requiring a
reset of the sellers list by ebaY support. In TAG's opinion numbers 3,
6, 7, and 10 could be cause to request refunds on a case by case basis,
depending on the circumstances, and the ultimate effect they had on a
particular auction.

TAG strongly recommends that anyone who feels their auctions were
negatively impacted by any of these problems apply for credit. Request
listing, special feature and Final Value Fees. Go to the form at

TAG can't emphasize enough that sellers should not take NO for an
answer. In the face of inconsistency on ebaYs part, persistence pays.

ebaY has a Visa Gift Card. The card is embossed with the recipient's
name and can be used to pay for Visa purchases on ebaY or anywhere
Visa is accepted. ebaY will send the card directly to you or to your
recipient, along with a personalized holiday greeting. For more info

ebaY today announced an agreement with RealCommunities to license
its software to ebaY. The software facilitates individual ebaY members
to easily locate and engage other ebaY members online to mentor them and
teach them to use ebaY. To read the press release go to

FedEx is probably not for everyone for shipping, but be sure to
check out the new FedEx Ground and FedEx home (formerly RPS) shipping
prices. They are about the best in the industry for heavier packages,
running about half what a comprable UPS ground package would cost.
