eBay was down on Friday for about an hour between 1030 and 1130 PT
due to QUOTE Performance Issues ENDQUOTE . Though they were back
up at 0300 PT on 1 Jan, after their unregular scheduled outage,
reports of intermittent outages have surfaced from around 1200 PT
until 1730 PT. eBay has not posted acknowledgment of these hiccups
on the announcement board. http://www2.ebay.com/aw/announce.shtml
Currently 2.535 million listings

even get extended further.

AuctionWatch has introduced a set of FREE Online Auction\Management
tools currently in a universally available beta test, which when
added to their free image hosting and counters, provides their
users with a full slate of selling services. Their universal search
engine, proved to be the best in the industry, providing the most
complete and accurate search results. They also offer a price
evaluation service costing $19.95 per item, which we feel is
overpriced, but could be worthwhile on specific items.

AuctionWatch does seem to us to be losing its way in the message
center boards. What was once an open and unbiased forum, is more
and more censored by a corporate head shop, with more concern about
the bottom line than freedom of speech. The moderation is
inconsistent and arbitrary, with both written and unwritten rules
and terms of service. Suspensions are handed out in a capricious
and arbitrary manner, for infractions based on the feelings of the
management, rather than on the rules. Management has been lax about
dealing with issues such as repeated appearances of trolls and trouble
makers, who register for the sole purpose of harassing users, or even
threatening their well being. With freedom of speech issues being
severely trod upon, many high quality users are just leaving, and
this results in a message center denuded of its most valuable user
assets. http://www.auctionwatch.com/
