eBay has had some problems getting the new deadbeat bidder policies
up and running. They now expect that both the revised Non-Paying
Bidder Policy and the Final Value Fee Credit process will be
available by 12:00 PST on Mon 27 Dec. All sellers should use the
new form beginning 27 Dec. Sellers with auctions that ended more
than 45 days ago (but less than 60 days ago) who wish to file a final
value fee credit after the new policy goes into effect on 27 Dec,
should send non-paying bidder requests to supp-@e... Additional

Amazon Auction keeps its statistics hidden. The number of auctions in
any category is available only by viewing each section, and manually
adding them. As an example for comparison (though a bit like trying to
compare apples and oranges) , Amazon has 19682 auctions currently listed
in the Art and Antiques section, eBay has 54995 in Antiques, and there
are 259,867 on Yahoo in Antiques and Collectibles.

10 cent listings until 31Dec99, free crosslinks to books or retail
items, Pro merchant discounts, bulk lister tool, zShops, One Click
payment options, 24/7 customer service Toll-free in U.S. and Canada:

of straightforward person to person auctions, along with various shops.
There are features that are a little different such as robobid, their
automatic proxy bidding system, and bidsafe, a payment system whereby
they act as the intermediary in the transaction. When you register
(which you must do with a credit card) you get a $5.00 credit on your
account to try the site risk free. Basic listings are free, there are
charges for listing features, and a 2.5% final value fee on completed
auctions. Bidsafe is an additional 3.5%. http://www.auctions.com

ManageAuctions the auction inventory management site, has added
a send greeting cards feature. This very cool feature allows you to
send email cards to all your auction customers, using the internal
auction management features, making this a very easy and quick
to accomplish task. A really great idea for providing that special
personal touch for your auction customers.
