Yahoo! Auctions   Seller Services and Features There are no fees for
listing, and no Final Value Fees.   Sellers can use the Auctions Express
bulk loader tool. Seller gets to set their risk tolerance level by
requiring the bidder submit a credit card number   for verification
either all the time, none of the time, or when their feedback is below a
Seller set level.   Seller can also blacklist a bidder prohibiting that
User from bidding on your auctions.

Seller can choose options on an auction by auction basis to
automatically extend an auction if there is still active bidding on it,
therefore eliminating sniping, close their auction early, set a reserve
price, and/or a buy now price, automatically relist an auction, and send
an automated customized end of auction notice.   They also have Yahoo!
Messenger, an instant message tool on each auction page, and a place
where bidders can ask questions and sellers answer them. These Q&As are
then archived and available on the   listing for other bidders to see.
An answer to a question you posted to a seller is also emailed to you.
You can build your own collectors club, or join   another one, and make
comments on the chat boards. All these features are free. The only
chargeable feature is the Features Auction Feature, and there you get to
bid on how far up in the hierarchy you want your auction to appear.
Approx 1,300,000 auctions currently listed.

advertising.   They are hoping their new servers will be ready soon, and
plan on having them installed by the end of the month. They will have to
take the site down to do the switch, and will announce when in the near

Several problems in the SQL database, and subsequent errors, caused the
site to   be down or information corrupted for much of the day.
Unfortunately some auctions ended during the downtime, and disabled the
extension capability, but action has been taken to correct this problem
if it happens in the future.   All   current auctions have been extended
by 24 hours. A full description of the   problem and the actions taken
can be found on the announcement board. Golds currently has approx
12,427 auctions listed, and 214408 Auctions since 6/20/99.   Free basic
listings through November.
