eBay- Is planning on setting up a board to replace what used to be the
live support boards, which they are calling their on-line support board.
They are currently targeting a launch of the boards for early this fall
and want more suggestions, so have set up an email address for
suggestions, send to online-@e.... They will also be hosting a
number of hour-long discussions of this topic on the Discuss eBay's
Newest Features (DNF) board at

After each discussion, they will give away a eBay store certificate to a
discussion participant- first two discussions are Thursday, September
16th at 10:00am Pacific Daylight Time, Friday, September 17th at 3:00pm
Pacific Daylight Time.
There is also a note reminding folks that the hurricanes might adversely
affect the ability of people to complete transactions, if they live in
one of the affected areas.

Gold's- Has another message about slow service. They still don't have
a date from their vendors on when the server array will arrive, but will
let their users know as soon as they can. To quote - We understand this
