eBay - will be down for an un-regularly scheduled maintenance
Sunday 21 Nov between 01:00 PST and 05:00 PST. They will extend
all auctions scheduled to end between 0100 and 0600 on Sunday,
by 24 hours.

There is another inappropriately placed letter from a user on
the announcement board about how nice the eBay user community is.
We feel that this is true, but is in spite of eBay the
corporations business practices, not because of it. If eBay
wants to stir up some holiday spirit, a repeal of the it's just
a dollar reserve fee, would go lot farther.

Initial analysis of the info provided by eBay shows that it is
insufficient to figure out what is going on between our ISP
subnet and eBay. All the accounts on this subnet are standard
dial ups, and the information provided by eBay shows 5
consecutive IP addresses being used. The ISP techies tell me
that this is almost impossible to achieve due to the nature
of dial ups, and the way IP addresses are assigned. Since
according to eBay, Quote - Our network engineers group is
extraordinarily busy with a high-visibility security project
which is consuming all of their time for days to come.
- End quote, and Quote - they wonÕt be able to give out detailed
logs for quite a while.- End quote, we donÕt have much to go
on, and it looks as if we wont get anything for quite a while
if at all. Ebay is the one, who felt it was a critical situation,
and blocked our ISP subnet, and now eBay is stonewalling on
getting us the information to discover what, if anything really
did happen, so that we can take appropriate action to prevent
a re-occurrence.

The guides provide information to evaluate purchases in the

adds value to that category, and other advice on how to make
informed bids. Guides are available through links at each
category page. Sellers can also apply to sell through ASA, if
they meet the criteria.

Yahoo Auctions - seems to have the best and most extensive
variety of features for sellers and buyers, is free, has a
good number of auctions, and few bidders. Anyone have
suggestions for Yahoo, on how they can improve their buyer
base? Maybe a letter writing campaign is in order.
Still no update on site calendar or newsletter,
since Aug99. Approx 1,300,000 auctions currently listed.
