eBay - there is a story from an eBay member , and a claim from Mary Lou
that this is ... Quote -the perfect time of year to reflect on some of
the things   that make eBay special -End Quote .   What it exemplifies
is that some of the   people who use eBay are special, and that if there
is any ÒcommunityÓ   left on   eBay it is in spite of eBayÕs practices,
not because of them.   This kind of   story is appropriate for the eBay
newsletter, or even the eBay Cafe, but totally inappropriate for a place
like the announcement board. http://www2.ebay.com/aw/announce.shtml

Still nothing from eBay on the spider, seven days after they agreed to
give my   ISP the information they needed to stop the alleged spider.
Until and unless we   hear otherwise, we are now acting on the
assumption that eBay blocked our ISP   subnet in order to intimidate The
Auction Guild into silence.   This is a blatant attack on the first
amendment, and a violation by eBay of the user agreement.
