eBay US- has wiped the announcement board clean, and the only message
currently posted is about the celebration of the last 100 years of the
millennium. Each week, leading up to year 2000, eBay will commemorate
a time period from the 20th Century with a page dedicated to unique and
historical collectibles, pertinent categories, and exclusive auctions.
This week the Roaring Twenties is featured. Millennium-O-Rama page at

Still no response from eBay on why our ISP is blocked from eBay.
We have sent tracer routes 5 times, as requested, and now have a
specific person working on this. Hope to have some real answers soon.

Jeff Bezos is expected to make a major announcement tomorrow
(Tuesday), and rumors were flying today about a possible eBay merger.
The more likely scenario, is a partnership or merger with some
retail venture, Beyond.Com a software seller, seems to be the
predictors favorite, or possibly Home Depot.

Amazon DOES have discussions boards-

Multi Site Meta Search Engines - This tool might become the great
equalizer in the online auction industry, but for now they are in the
news mostly for the controversy they are causing. On 4 November eBay
blocked AuctionWatch’s Universal search. They had earlier done the same
to Ruby Lane, and had asked Bidders Edge to not search their site.
Bidders Edge agreed, but they then put negative ads about it in national
newspapers. Today a new search site hit the online scene
auctionrover.com. Auctionrover lists eBay as one of the sites it
searches, as does Auctionferret, and it remains to be seen if they have
agreements with eBay, or if they too will be blocked. Over the next few
weeks, we will take a look at these search engines.
