20 CENT AUCTION AND FIXED PRICE LISTING DAY
ON EBAY US ON TUE 21 NOV 2006

ebaY US is holding a 20 cent auction style and fixed price listing day on Tuesday 21 November 2006 between 00:00:01 PT (12:00 AM plus one second on TUE 21 NOV 2006 and ending that same day, 21 NOV 2006 at 23:59:59 PT(11:59 PM plus 59 seconds).

 The listing fee for all auction style and fixed price listings are 20 cents on the U.S. site (www.ebay.com).  This includes listings created before 21 NOV 2006 but that are scheduled to start on 21 NOV 2006.

ebaY will still charge all other fees including final value fees, listing upgrade fees, such as Buy It Now, featured plus, subtitle, highlight, bold, gallery, gift services, scheduled listings, gallery featured, homepage featured, reserve fees, ebaY Picture Services, duration fees, etc.

 ebaY is excluding buy it now upgrades, ebaY Motors vehicles and non-vehicles, International, Live Auction, Professional Services, Ad Format, Real Estate and Store Inventory listings, from the 20 cent promotion.  Additionally business and industrial categories: tractors & farm machinery (91952), heavy equipment (25249), concession trailers, carts (67145), imaging and aesthetics equipment (92035), forklifts and other lifts (97185), manufacturing equipment (92080), metalworking equipment (92082) and commercial printing presses (26247). and store inventory listings. The promotional rate does not apply to listings with a start date prior to 21 NOV 2006 - including those listings revised during the promotional period. The promotional rate also does not apply to listings created on 21 NOV 2006 and scheduled to start after the promotion ends.  

List fixed price items through the Sell Your Item Form, ebaY Seller Tools, and most third-party tools.

In order to use a fixed price listing with a quantity of one, you must either have 10 or more feedback or be ID verified.  If you have a PayPal account you need to have 5 or more feedback and accept PayPal as a payment method in the listing.

Anyone can participate in this promotion, but they must list on ebaY US and be willing to ship to the US and accept payment in US dollars.

Starting Wednesday, November 22, 2006 at 00:00:01 ET (12:00 AM plus one second) and ending Thursday, November 23, 2006 02:59:59 ET (2:59 AM plus 59 seconds).

Buy It Now upgrades on auction listings are free during this promotion and only available to sellers with a feedback score of 10 or more.

Excluded are ebaY Motors, Business and Industrial Capital Equipment, Store Inventory Format, Real Estate Auction Format listings and Real Estate Ad Format listings. The promotional rate does not apply to listings revised during the promotional period. The promotional rate also does not apply to listings created during the promotion on 22 November, but scheduled to start after the promotion ends.

For sellers listing with any tool other than Sell Your Item 3.0 form (SYI 3.0), the promotional price will not be shown during the listing process. Instead the discount will be reflected in view account status, as well as in the invoice.

This promotion is only available to Canadian residents.

EBAY SEARCH IS BROKEN

Just in time to ruin the holiday shopping season, ebaY search is in terrible shape.  Search for an item and you will get a different result every time. Seller's items show up one time and are blocked the next.   Search from different ebaY sites and the results are different every time. It appears that seller's are on rolling blockages, so not all sellers and all items are available through search at all times.  Search within results does not work, favorite searches do not work. ebaY is blocking common words, ruining search results.

ebaY denies and prevaricates, stalls and fumbles around, not even fixing what they could fix easily.
