EBAY BILLING PROBLEMS - CHECK YOUR ACCOUNTS!!!

On 16 March some sellers reported that ebaY had grossly overcharged them
on listing fees whilst relisting items. For example on a listing that
should have had a fee of 35 cents, ebaY charged $4.80. When contacted
ebaY confirmed that they knew there was a glitch causing this problem,
but failed to post it anywhere on their site, or notify affected
sellers. In the past ebaY has not automatically refunded such
overcharges, even when they knew about them, but has forced sellers to
check their own accounts and file claims before making refunds, so check
your accounts carefully and make sure you were not overcharged.

EBAY UK 10 PENCE LISTING DAY ON THU 23 Mar 2006

ebaY UK is holding a 10 Pence fixed price (buy it now) listings day on
Thu 23 Mar 2006 between 00:00:01 GMT (12:00 AM plus one second on Thu 23
Mar 2006 and ending that same day, Thu 23 Mar 2006 at 23:59:59 GMT
(11:59 PM plus 59 seconds).

Only listings in British Pounds Sterling on ebay.co.uk will qualify for
10 Pence insertion fees (no residence requirement). Included are fixed
price (buy it now) items only. Any item previously scheduled to go live
on Thu 23 Mar 2006 will qualify for the 10 pence insertion fee
promotion. If you re-list an item on Thu 23 Mar 2006 that had
previously closed without a successful sale, the re-list will qualify
for the 10 pence insertion fee promotion.

Excluded are auction type listings, items listed in all cars, parts and
accessories, property categories, multiple item listings in any format,
and shops inventory listings.

To sell with buy it now only fixed price format, you must either have
10+ feedback or if you have a PayPal account you need to have 5+
feedback.

If you are in a country other than the UK you may participate in this
promotion but must list from the UK site, be willing to ship to the UK
and be willing to accept British Sterling Pounds (though generally sales
will be in the US and paid in US dollars). Don't forget the 5 to 8 hour
time difference from the UK to the US.

In addition to these almost constant UK promotions, ebaY has also
reduced the fees for using PayPal to their UK customers. There has been
lots of bad press about ebaY in the UK, and this might be one reason
ebaY is trying so hard to get listings there. Since ebaY's German
market has started to fail, ebaY was relying heavily on the UK site to
assist their posture in Europe, but these efforts appear to be failing,
hence the desperate move to provide so many promotions.

ebaY CA is holding a free car listing promotion through Sunday 26 March
2006 ending at 23:59:59 EST (11:59 PM plus 59 seconds) for Canadian
residents only.

Excluded are Pocketbikes, Powersport Vehicles under 50cc, Business and
Industrial Capital Equipment, Store Inventory Format and Real Estate Ad
Format listings. Items listed on the U.S. ebaY Motors site
(http://www.motors.ebay.com/) or items listed by a user who is not a
resident of Canada.
