EBAY US 10 CENT PROMOTION FOR ITEMS THAT USE
PRE-FILLED ITEM INFO IN ENTERTAINMENT & BOOKS
CATEGORIES 17 & 18 MAR 2004

ebaY is holding a 2 day discount on items in certain Books,
Movies, Music and Video Games categories when the seller
uses the pre-filled item information feature. In order to be eligible
for the promotion, you must list your item in at least one of the
following specific categories, and use the pre-filled item
information feature: VHS, DVD, CD, Cassettes, AudioBooks,
Non-Fiction Books, Education (Text Books), Children's Books,
Fiction Books and Video Games. If you follow these restrictions,
the listing fee will cost 10 Cents. This is on the U.S. site
(www.ebay.com) and begins Wednesday 17 Mar 2004 at
00:00:01 PT (12:00 AM plus one second) and ends at 23:59:59
PT on Thursday 18 March 2004 (11:59 PM plus 59 seconds).
Listings created before 17 Mar and scheduled to start during the
promotional period, 17-18 Mar, will be eligible for the
promotional rate.

This discount is for Auction-Style and Fixed Price insertion fees
for listings within the Books, Movies, Music, and Video Games
categories. The promotion does not apply to any category levels
except those listed above, or for Live Auction, International,
Professional Services, ebaY Motors vehicles and non-vehicles,
Stores Inventory, and multi-quantity listings. The promotional
offer does not apply for listings with a start date before 17 Mar,
including those listings revised during the promotional period, or
for listings created during this period but scheduled to start at a
later date.

ebaY will NOT give the seller credit on the items until sometime
in mid-April 2004.
This promotion is not available to users who are subject to VAT.

This promotion is clearly aimed at Half.Com sellers in an
attempt to get them to use the ebaY site.   For items of this type,
TAG strongly recommends sellers consider the growing
marketplace on Amazon.Com which we hear is becoming a
better venue for sellers of fixed price items such as the ones in
these categories.   Listing is free; the Amazon Marketplace
