EBAY CANADA FREE LISTING DAY THU 8 JAN 2004
************************************************************
On Thu 8 Jan 2004 between 12:00:01AM EST and 11:59:59PM EST on ebay.ca,
ebaY is holding a free listing day for items starting at $1.00 (US or
Canadian dollars) or less. ebaY will credit back basic listing fees.
PayPal fees and any additional ebaY fees still apply.

To qualify for the promotion, sellers must list their items on ebaY.ca
on Thu 8 Jan 2004 in US or Canadian dollars. This is for auction style
listings only.

Basic ebaY listing fees only will be free for Auction Listings, Auction
format only. ebaY is not including Motors, Real Estate, Fixed Price or
Store Inventory format. PayPal fees and all other ebaY fees, including
optional feature fees, such as Gallery, Bold, Reserve Price, Featured,
the Buy It Now option, or Final Value fees, still apply.

You can list in this promotion no matter where in the world you are
located, but you must list on the ebaY CA site and be wiling to ship to
Canada, though most sellers find the majority of their sales come from
the US anyway, in US dollars. Make sure you include the option to have
your listings show up in the US or internationally.

For more info go to -
http://pages.ca.ebay.com/promos/Janfld.html

By the Way -
Listing items on ebaY Singapore is completely free:
http://www.ebay.com.sg
• Free Standard Listing Fee
• Free Final Value Fee
• Free Feature Fee
Not sure if these show up on ebaY US search, but they will show on your
US sellers list. The listings and site are in ENGLISH and in Singapore
Dollars

ebaY also has penny gallery images on the ebaY US site through 23:59:59
PT on Thu 8 Jan 04. This is only good for listings in one category - if
you use two categories full fees apply in the second category.
***********************************************************
PLEASE NOTE: EBAY HAS ANNOUNCED FEE INCREASES
AND/OR CHANGES ON EBAY US, UK, AU, CA, DE, FR
AND OTHER SITES Most take effect at the beginning of Feb.
Sellers report these fees will raise their payments to ebaY in the
neighborhood of 18%, depending on what features are used, much higher if
the reserve option is used. There are many sites that offer FREE
LISTING every day. If you object to these fee increases you should be
moving to other sites and encouraging your customers, friends, neighbors
and associates to do the same thing. The buyers will go to where the
sellers are, and all it takes is enough sellers with the conviction to
take control of their businesses and move 2 to 3 million listings
elsewhere. That ebaY is the end all and be all of online auctions and
trading is a delusion that exists in the minds of sellers. The sellers
are in control though ebaY does not want them to realize it. . ebaY
only does what the sellers allow them to get away with. Break the ebaY
monopoly and ebaY will no longer be able to charge whatever the market
will bear, but will have to compete for sellers. This is the
responsibility of the sellers as only they can change the industry, if
they have the will to do so.
