eBay US- FEEDBACK DISCUSSION tomorrow (Friday 10/29/99) at
11:00-12:00 PDT. ??? There is nothing on the announcement board (AB)
about this, but this was posted by an eBay rep during a discussion
about categories on the Music board. No response to confirmation
requests. QUOTE - Here is an answer to your question: The most
recent changes we implemented to reduce fraud and "prank" listings
on eBay (for example, credit card for new sellers and upcoming changes
to the non-paying bidder policy) are just the first of many steps
we're taking to improve the trading experience on eBay. For example,
we'll be talking about feedback improvements tomorrow morning from
11:00-12:00 PDT on the DNF board. Both sellers and buyers are
important to our community and we're not trying to single out
buyers or sellers when we implement new policies. I hope this helps.
Christine Olsen Music Category Manager - END QUOTE

Beginning on Friday, November 12, eBay will be shift the time of
the weekly scheduled maintenance to 01:00 to 05:00 PT on Friday
mornings. Ebay will conduct their regularly scheduled maintenance
on Friday 29 Oct from 00:00 to 04:00 PT. They are planning on
running more tests on the “hot” backup system, which they hope
to have online sometime in November.

Ebay has not responded to our message about ebayassociates.com,
but they have a post on the AB warning anyone who signed up and
used their eBay user id and password, to immediately change their
password. http://pages.ebay.com/services/myebay/selectpass.html
Ebay says they have absolutely no relationship with Auction
Technologies, and that their Logo was being used illegally. The
ebayassociates.com page is gone.
