On Tues 30 Jan from 12:00 PT to 16:00 PT ebaY is holding a
workshop on their My ebaY Help Board about Billing. This
workshop is designed to give users an overview of account
information, addressing the most frequently asked questions
that the billing department receives.

ebaY category changes have again caused WebTV incompatibilities.
To avoid these and other listing problems TAG recommends you
use a third party management site to list your ebaY auctions such as
Auctions.GoTo.Com or Vrane.Com.

Title search is currently running approx 7 hours behind, title and
description search is running approx 10.5 hours behind. To see
a pattern of lag times, demonstrating the time it takes from listing,
to the item showing up in search, go to
http://www.geocities.com/codclass/content/lag.html

Completed search is now available with a 20 day history, though
users are continuing to complain about problems with completed
search not working. The completed search link keeps appearing and
disappearing from the search pages, leaving users wondering what
ebaY has in the plans for completed search.

TAG continues to get reports that the ongoing ebaY problems are
still affecting users. To review the list go to
http://www.auctionguild.com/generic.html?pid=32

TAG recommends that whenever ebaY users feel that ebaY
has not provided the service paid for, and ebaY refuses to
refund fees you file a complaint with the FTC also.

Yahoo Auction was reported down by users on 28 Jan at 01:45:50 PT.
Users were not able to search, bid, or access My Yahoo. By 08:04 PT
search and bid were working, but My Yahoo remained completely
down until 11:37PT. Because the Watch feature is only available
from My Yahoo, this prohibits buyers access to the auctions they are
interested in bidding on, TAG therefore considers My Yahoo a
critical feature, and therefore consider it a hard outage deserving
of listing fee refunds. To get outage credits you can call
Yahoo at (408) 530-5151 between 8am and 6pm Mon-Fri PT.

If you have never been charged for your use of Yahoo Auctions, you
will be charged when your account reaches $25.00.

Customizing winning email to bidders messages will now appear on
the Closed Auction page. To edit this message, go to Options >
Customize Winning Emails.

Time Left on item pages now shows days and hours.

You can now change the category, title, and description of items that
don't yet have bids. To make changes, click on Manage this Auction
from your item page, from My Yahoo.

For those who use Yahoo's bulk uploader, you can still list auctions
for 14 days when using this utility, giving you 4 more days for
your listing fee that you don't get listing items individually.
