ebaY users reported on 6 Dec at 04:48:58 that they could not get
into ebaY and had been having problems since approx 04:00 PT.
This seemed to affect many but not all areas, and was patch work,
not regional. At 08:42 Dennis M.D. from ebaY customer support
acknowledged that one of ebaYs vendors was having a firewall
problem preventing access. At 08:49:31 ebaY posted that users
could not access their site. At 08:47 users reported the site came
back up in all areas. At 10:31:36 PT ebaY posted that the previously
reported problems were fixed as of 09:00 PT. The site appeared to
run well on 7 Dec. Regularly scheduled maintenance is from
from 01:00 PT to 03:00 PT on Fri 8 Dec.
Users are reporting that Billpoint is intermittently leaving the
shipping off invoices. Make sure you check your invoices with
your customers to insure they know what shipping will cost, if it
gets left off the invoice.
TAG strongly recommends that anyone who feels their auctions were
negatively impacted by any of these problems apply for credit. Request
listing, special feature and Final Value Fees. Go to the form at
http://cgi3.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?
SendSupportEmailShow&subject=Credit%20--%20How%20can
%20I%20receive%20credit%20for%20insertion%20fees%3F%20
Send -
* The item number(s) of the ended auction(s)
* The specific fee(s) charged for them
* Your seller's email address or User ID
* The phrase, GIVE CREDIT in the Subject line
This can also be accessed from
http://pages.ebay.com/help/basics/select-support.html
TAG can't emphasize enough that sellers should not take NO for an
answer. In the face of inconsistency on ebaYs part, persistence pays.
Item Watch reminder emails are once again available. If you
place
an item on the Watch feature, ebaY will automatically send you a
reminder email 36 hours before the ending time to remind you that
the item you are watching is about to close soon.

Uniforms and more. Additionally, some existing Clothing &
Accessories categories have been renamed. For comments and
suggestions email online-@ebay.com

Categories in January 2001, including Health, Nutrition; Personal
Grooming; Fragrances: men; Fragrances: women; Makeup and more.

Garden Items, Home Furnishings, Pet Supplies, and Tools are moving
to the Home & Garden category. To view all categories listed in

category numbers, go to

ebaY has slightly increased the restriction on the Selling Tab within
My ebaY from 300-items to 600 items. This limit was placed to
reduce the load on their back-end databases in order to keep the system
running. Depending on the stress it places on the system they may have
to reduce the limit once again if it causes problems. In late Feb, ebaY
is redesigning My ebaY by adding pagination to the My ebaY tabs,
including the "Items I'm Selling" tab. When the My ebaY redesign is
complete, sellers will once again be able to retrieve the entire list of
items they have for sale through the My ebaY selling tab.

immediate response to say that the details have not all been
worked out yet, so they can't say exactly when the transfer will happen,
