scheduled maintenance. At 21:11:58 PT Seller Search was back up. ebaY
reported on 26 Oct 19:22:28 that View Item and Bidding, were down from
17:30 PT to 17:40 PT. My eBay, Seller Search and Bidder Search were down
from about 17:40 PT to 18:30 PT. They also posted that Search by
Seller, the “Selling” tab in My eBay and View Seller’s Other Auctions
would be down until about 21:00 PT. Scheduled
maintenance ran from 0100PT to 03:29. As soon as the site came
back up reports of slowness and functions not working were posted
on the OAI/OTI boards. Messages appeared saying Unable to

negatively impacted by these outages apply for credit. Request listing,
special feature and Final Value Fees. Go to the form at

PLEASE - IF YOU ARE DENIED REFUNDS LET US KNOW
TAG can't emphasize enough that sellers should not take NO for an
answer. If you get a refund denial, keep requesting and
re-requesting refunds until you get them. Some sellers are also
challenging ebaY charges to their credit card, based on services
not rendered. TAG recommends you use that as a last resort, if at all.

Billpoint has changed their fees again. From 23 Oct - 30 Nov
Domestic and International Visa credit card transactions are free of
charges. Billpoint gives buyers a $1.00 credit when they use Visa.
In early Nov, Billpoint will be available for use outside of eBay.
Billpoint is available to international buyers in 29 countries, soon
to expand to 37 countries. Billpoint is planning on letting
international sellers to receive funds in their local currency. This is
currently available to Canadian sellers.

Yahoo Auctions has an extrapolated calculated listing number of
3.9 million auctions. Yahoo is allowing sellers to turn their feedback
ratings on other sites into credits to pay for special features on
Yahoo. They give $1.00 in credit for every positive feedback point.

Auctiva.Com sent out warnings to their eBud users about risk of
data loss due to ebaYs outages. They strongly recommend that you
backup your information. ebaY has been continually changing the
format of information that is read by eBud. The result is that correct
data in eBud may be temporarily or even permanently lost. To protect
your data, you need to back it up. Backup your data after every eBud
session even when ebaY is functioning properly. To prevent data loss,
you need an effective, regular backup plan and you need to follow it
without fail. 1) Copy your eBud directory before any installation.
2) Backup your eBud data file after every two hours of use. These files
(backup.dat files) should be copied from your eBud folder to another
location and labeled with the current date and time. Keeping several
recent backups gives you the best chance of recovery should you
encounter any problems. http://www.auctiva.com
