ebaY is considering removing the Adult section from the site.
Rumors started circulating on the boards after ebaY consulted with
a focus group about the matter. Ka-@ebay.com posted on the DNF
board that she knew there was a focus group on this, but had been
unable to attend, so could not tell if any decisions were made. She said
that generally focus groups are intended to take input so that decisions
can be finalized, and that she would see what information was available.

ebaY is announcing on Wednesday 13 Sep, an agreement they have
signed with Andale, an auction management company that recently
purchased Honesty.Com the largest auction counter provider on ebaY.
News.Com reported that ebaY was making an exclusive agreement
with Andale that makes it the sole international provider of specific
auction management services to eBay's sellers.

ebaY Contact Information and Toll Free Phone Numbers can now be
found on the TAG website

ebaY has not yet decided if they will give out address and phone
number information in the end of auction notices. The message
that this was NOT a good thing to do was made to ebaY, but it
is not yet known what effect this input will have on ebaYs decision.

Approx 4.92 million current listing
Differences between the MedVed numbers and ebaYs are once again
back in line. Counts are back to their normal 5-10 thousand
differences.

credit card verification for all bidders, including users who have
bid on Yahoo auctions in the past. They already require credit card

PayPal has caused themselves a major negative publicity flap.
PayPal is now requiring ALL sellers, no matter how small, to
sign up for fee based accounts. Though fees are modest, they still
violate two promises made by PayPal. The first broken promise
was the payment tool would ALWAYS be free. The second broken
promise was that no one would be forced into upgrading their
accounts. Until PayPal makes good on these promises, their
credibility is at risk.

When you go to the PayPal site, do NOT click on an upgrade logo
unless you are POSITIVE you want to change your account. These
logos are programmed to take effect immediately, you do not get a
chance to back out or change your mind.

The Terms of Use agreement was also upgraded effective 11 Sep 00,
so TAG strongly recommends that you read it.
