The Auction Guild Notes for Monday 28 Aug 2000
********************************************************************
DUE TO CONTINUING PROBLEMS WITH EGROUPS, WE ARE MIRRORING
TAGNOTES ON TOPICA AND WILL TRANSFER THE SUBSCRIPTION LIST
IN THE NEXT FEW DAYS. YOU MAY RECEIVE A SUBSCRIPTION NOTICE
FROM TOPICA WHEN THE TRANSFER TAKES PLACE.
Topica promises the same privacy and security against SPAM that
we have at eGroups, and the same strict enforcement of the SPAM
rules. Please bear with us as we work out the kinks in this new
list site. We will continue to use eGroups and start to use
Topica as soon as all the archives are transferred, so you will
get some TAGnotes issues from eGroups and some issues from Topica.
The current plan is to shift to Topica as the primary site, and
use eGroups as the backup site, until such time as we have our
own server in place.
If you have any comments, questions, information, ideas or
suggestions please email us at tagn-@t...

eBay reported on 25Aug 08:36:38 PT that the problem whose existence
they had not previously acknowledged, (reported in TAGnotes issue 208)
with the Search Selection and Sell Your Item Pages was resolved on
24Aug, but some ISPs had cached the bad page. Some members
continued to get a blank or invalid page so they suggested going
through one of the eBay back doors as a temporary fix.

but did not have resolution for all other eBay users.
