eBay has had problems with search and login cookies all day 24 Aug.
The login problems started last night at 22:28:02 PT 23 Aug and
continued throughout the day. Search went down at 14:30:58 PT,
and problems with item pages coming up were also reported on
the eBay and other OAI boards. The search problems continued
intermittently until 19:59:25 PT. There were also intermittent
problems with listing and relisting. eBay did not report these
problems on the AB. If you feel your auctions were negatively
impacted by the malfunctioning of search, request refunds from

eBay will be down from 01:00 PT and 05:00 PT for regularly
scheduled maintenance on Fri 25 Aug between 01:00 PT and
05:00 PT .
eBay reported at 12:30:08 that a major communication link between
San Jose CA and NY NY was down and preventing European users
from accessing eBay. eBay reported the problem fixed at 17:33:27 PT.
Completed Search has not been updated since Sat 19 Aug. eBay is
aware of the problem and hopes to fix it today. Once fixed it will
take an additional 2-3 days for completed search to catch-up and
become current. eBay users have been waiting for over a year
for
the promised return of 30 day completed search. The current
completed search covers 15 days at best.
eBay is planning on opening an eBay France site. They expect the
French site to start in the fourth quarter, and an Italian site to
follow soon after. They are hoping eBay or someone will be able to
create some translation software effective enough to facilitate sales
between American/English speakers with sites using other languages.
eBay has added the electronic check payment option to the Sell
Your Item form and View Item pages. Sellers are charged 35 cents
per transaction. Payment is guaranteed once you get the okay to
