In an interesting ruling U.S. District Judge Harry Hupp denied an
injunction by Ticketmaster Online (TO), to stop Ticket.Com from
harvesting and using information from the TO site. The judge
said that TO can't exclude Tickets.com from using TO's ticket
info on the price, time, date, and place of events. Tickets.com
sells tickets through its Web site, and provides info on where
to buy tickets from other sources. Tickets.com uses spiders to
harvest the info from the TO site. Judge Hupp's decision is in what
appears to be direct conflict with a ruling in May by U.S. District
Judge Ronald Whyte giving eBay a preliminary injunction to stop
Bidder's Edge from using a meta search engine on eBay's auction

eBay started having intermittent outages reported at 08:54PT
15 Aug, on the OAI boards. My eBay was down as was seller and
item pages. These glitches appeared to last until 09:18 PT. At
approx 19:00PT, users reported intermittent problems with
listing and accessing My ebaY. Search was reported as working but
very slowly. These problems were intermittently present for about
one hour.

eBay has been notified by several users about a SPAM message
that asks users to click onto a feature called SmartBrowse. This
SmartBrowse is reported to contain a serious virus. This is NOT
an email from eBay, it is a fake. Do not open it, delete it.
Practice safe trading habits -
1. Do not give out your credit card information via email or
a pop up screen.
2. Do not give out your password and change your password on
