eBay's AOL users had trouble accessing the site on 7 Aug, which
ebay claims was due to a problem with an internet service provider
independent of both AOL and eBay. eBay reported at 11:31:31PT
that these problems lasted from 01:01:37 to 07:00PT.
At 18:33:07PT on 7 Aug, My eBay went down again. eBay reported at
21:15:43PT that My eBay was available again as of about 20:30 PT.

On 8 Aug at 12:15 PT ebay went down. This was not reported by
eBay, but was reported on the OAI boards. At 13:39, some parts
of the site were functioning intermittently, but My ebay was down.
These intermittent total outages and site slowness continued to be
reported on the OAI boards as late as 22:35 PT. It was often
impossible to list, bid and was always impossible to access My eBay.
Contrast these user reports by what eBay reported on the boards for
the same time frame.

At 16:38:32PT on 8 Aug, eBay reported that they were working on
My eBay. They isolated the functions within My eBay to prevent total
unavailability, so that there was some access to My eBay but not all
of it. If a function was unavailable, eBay said they would provide a
link to another part of the site that provides that function. At
18:36 My eBay went down again completely, and at 18:47 eBay reported
problems with Seller Search and View Bid History from the individual
Item pages. eBay reported at 20:41PT that My eBay, Seller Search and
View Bid History were available as of 19:10PT. However, there
was a recurrence of the intermittent unavailability of Seller Search
and View Bid History between approx 20:15 PT to 20:25 PT.

If you feel any of these outages negatively impacted your auctions,
TAG recommends you use the form on this page to request your
refund for ALL fees. Subject Billing

TAG feels that eBay has now made My eBay a major part of the site
for buyers, because it is the only way buyers can access their
WATCH list. Without access to the WATCH list, buyers are unable
to bid, so My eBay being down now equates to an inability to bid,
which justifies a refund of all eBay's fees for negatively impacted
auctions.

My eBay workarounds that eBay came up with for when My eBay
crashes again -

that has been left for you. You can also view the feedback of other
users or leave feedback from the links on that page.

On 8 Aug eBay announced an agreement with TradeOut, a marketplace
for surplus business assets. Under the agreement, eBay will
establish direct links to TradeOut from the eBay Business Exchange
area and TradeOut will prominently display eBay on its home page and
provide links to the eBay Business Exchange.
