eBay has changed its policy on sale of collectible credit cards.
They now require the card to be expired for at least 10 years. eBay
is implementing this policy because many credit card issuers have
terms and conditions that may restrict the sellers ability to
transfer them to another person. For more info go to

eBay is holding its second session of Bay University. These half
day classes are designed to teach the basics of trading on eBay.
They include photo hosting, basic HTML, and listing improvement.
Experienced buyers and sellers teach classes. eBay University
will be held on Sat 12 Aug, in Phoenix, Arizona.

After considering the feedback from the proposed changes in the
Music categories, eBay has updated the recommended listing
changes. These are now
* Create a new Books, Movies, Music: Music Memorabilia
category from the music-related items which currently reside
in Books, Movies, Music: Memorabilia.
* Change the general name Music to Printed, Recorded
* Add a category for Instructional items under Printed, Recorded.
* Move the Sheet Music category from Musical Instruments to
Printed, Recorded.
* Delete the category for Mechanical instruments combine
General into Musical Instruments: General and move Piano
Rolls to Printed, Recorded: Piano Rolls.
* Move the Professional, Studio category from Photo &
Electronics: Consumer Electronics: Audio to Musical Instruments
and rename it to Pro Audio. For details go to

In addition, these changes will be linked off of the "Books,
Movies,
Music" and "Photo & Electronics" Category Index Pages.

Fri 4 Aug. eBay expects to implement the changes in Sep 2000.

The category listing pages (Current, New Today, Ending Today,
and Going, Going, Gone) on the main eBay and AOL co-branded site
were unavailable from 18:45 PT to 18:55 PT. These pages
are now displaying information as of 16:25:02 PT. If you
feel your auctions were negatively impacted by this system
failure email bill-@e... for a refund.
