eBay went down at around 23:11 PT on 30 July. They reported that
the main database server was not working. They were back up at
approx 23:46 PT.   If you feel your auctions were negatively impacted
by the problems, request a refund by sending an email to
bill-@e.... At 18:09 on 31 July eBay slowed down to a crawl,
making it very hard to list or search. Though it continued to
function it was not working properly. This appears to have cleared
up by 19:19PT. This problem was not reported by eBay but was noted
by eBay users on the OAI chat boards.

eBay has added 8 new regions Baltimore, MD; Washington D.C.;
Oakland, CA; San Jose, CA; Orange County, CA; Richmond, VA;
Albany, NY; Abuquerque-Santa Fe, NM. There are now 60 regions.

eBay has started a new business relationship with UltimateBid.
http://www.ultimatebid.com. This company puts together
packages they then sell that allow people to have experiences with
entertainers, athletes, stadiums and concert venues around the world.
An example of what they offer is the chance to play 18 holes of golf
with Tiger Woods. eBay has developed a Tickets & Experiences
Theme Page to give users a direct link to sell sports and
entertainment tickets. To see the page go to
http://www.ebay.com/theme/tickets.html today!
In order for eBay to be able to work with UltimateBid, they have
had to change their ticket listing policy. They are changing their
policy on ticket packages which include tickets packaged with
other related goods, such as airfare and lodging, backstage passes,
or special experiences related to the event. These changes do not
affect the sale of individual tickets and will only apply to users,
including UltimateBid, selling tickets to events within the
states and countries identified in the eBay ticket policy.
