eBay is conducting regularly scheduled maintenance and will be
unavailable on Fri morning, 23 June between 01:00 PT and 05:00 PT .
This will cause search updates to be 12 to 15 hours behind on Friday
and Saturday following scheduled maintenance.

eBay has more information about their upcoming Pic Hosting service
on the announcement board. The test phase of the Picture Services
will start in late June in two categories, Antiques & Art and
Pottery & Glass. They hope to make Picture Services available in all
categories and through Mister Lister later this year.

To use this service, you will be required to download their
picture program. PLEASE NOTE - THIS IS AN ACTIVE-X PROGRAM
AND SHOULD BE USED WITH GREAT CAUTION. This service might
disrupt the software of third party software developers, so
you should check that your programs work after they launch the
pic hosting.

During the TEST phase 2 pictures per listing is FREE. If you opt to
add up to 4 more pictures it costs 50 cents. To display pictures
in a slide show format costs $1.00. There is no fee schedule posted
for after the test phase yet. You may still continue to use your
current PIC hosting service, as eBays service is optional. For a
preview of the Picture Services go to:
http://pages.ebay.com/sell/preview-pspilot.html

TAG is NOT recommending you use this service for the following
reasons:
ActiveX programs actually imbed in and change info on your hard
drive, so research and understand the implications before loading.
Java Applets can cause computers to lock up, particularly
problematical with Apple computers and Netscape Navigator.
If your pics are on eBay, it makes it harder to move your auctions
around to other sites, something we HIGHLY recommend you do.
eBay has lied about cookies and tracking by Doubleclick through
their banner ads, we don't know how they will manipulate these
ActiveX controls to track your site usage.
They have not disclosed the costs upfront. If you load a large
number of pics on eBay, they can set their prices after the fact,
and the labor involved of you reloading the pics elsewhere might
unduly influence you to pay the fees.
One must assume the customer service they offer for pic hosting
will be no better than the other service support they offer,
and that is generally very poor.

eBay is hosting the sale of the Honus Wagner T206
baseball card 5 Jul to 15 Jul. Robert Edward Auctions(REA)
is the auction house managing this auction. The terms
and conditions of this auction are unique, and bidders
must agree to the auction house's terms and conditions
in addition to eBay's, despite the fact that they violate
some of eBays long standing rules. All bids will be placed
by REA, a 15% buyers premium will apply, $100,000 escrow
must be placed prior to bidding, etc. For more information
on the Terms and Conditions of the Honus Wagner T206 Item
