eBay has made the process of revising an item prior to receiving a
bid, transparent to the buyer. Starting next week, eBay will make
all revisions made to a listing accessible through a link, that
shows exactly what changes were made by the seller. The link
will appear under shipping terms, next to Item revised, To view
revisions to this listing made by the seller, please click here.
On the revision page, you will see three columns: the date, the
time and the type of change made. For example if it is a
description change, you will see the word description but wont
know what in the description changed. If multiple changes are
made, they will all be noted.

eBay has added new categories to eBay motors. They have primarily
been designed to accommodate the Collector and Motorcycle users
requests, for the ability to browse through listings of related
items. The new categories are
COLLECTIBLES:
Collector: Parts
Collector: Accessories
Collector: General
MOTORCYCLE RELATED:
Motorcycle Related: General
Motorcycle Related: American
Motorcycle Related: Japanese
Motorcycle Related: British & European
These categories on the Parts & Accessories Page under
Collectibles and Motorcycle Related, will soon be available on
the Collector and Motorcycle pages. To view go to

to 17:00 PT on 9 Jun.

eBay is trying to encourage support for their The Verified Rights
Owner (VeRO) Program. They have encouraged these companies
to create their own About Me pages so eBay users can get
information on who they are, what they look for, and how they can
be contacted for questions. For more information go to
http://pages.ebay.com/help/community/vero-aboutme.html

eBay again warns users to never send their credit card information
through email. eBay offers secure servers and on-site links to safely
submit sensitive information such as credit card numbers.
eBay will never ask you to send this information by email.
If you need to update your credit card information on eBay, do NOT
send it through email, but go to the URL on the eBay Site for this
purpose, found by clicking Services then Buying and Selling from
the Navigation Bar, or by going here
https://arribada.ebay.com/aw-secure/cc-update.html

If you receive any email asking you for credit card information,
or if you have any questions about the authenticity of any email
you receive which claims to be from eBay, please ask about it in
the Trust and Safety Community Help Board link

Amazon Auctions has made a change to the appearance of the detail
pages of out of print books on Amazon.com's retail site. This change
will alert customers to the presence of readily available copies of
of out of print titles on auctions and zShops. If there are no
exact matches, the text will encourage customers to search the
Marketplace for a reader's copy of their book. For example -
Availability: This title is out of print. You can buy it in zShops
(What are zShops?) or Auctions (Auctions Tutorial). Or you can add
this item to your Shopping Cart now, and we'll search for a used
copy and send an update within one to two weeks.

Amazon expects users to respond well to this promotion and suggests
now is a good time to list titles that you have not yet listed with
them. This is a direct tie in with their regular book buying
customers. If you would like to receive an Excel list
of Amazon.com's most ordered out-of-print titles (the top 1000 of
them) send an email to alis-@a...

X.Com /PayPal has extended its PayPal service to wireless devices,
such as Web-enabled mobile phones. They plan to introduce
PayPal to international users later this year. PayPal was down for
a few hours today for an unannounced upgrade of their system.
During this upgrade they added the ability to sign up for business
accounts, that do carry some fees (1.9% on payments, .6% on
daily sweep of funds into primary account), and have also added
$100,000 in private insurance through Travelers to every account.
Other upcoming features are also listed on the site.
