eBay Canada is offering Free Canadian Dollar Listings Days
26 May through 28 May. Insertion Fees will be credited for all
items listed in Canadian Dollars (CA$) on eBay Canada Friday
through Sunday, 23:59:59 PT. This applies to basic listing fees only,
not to special features. eBay will charge Final Value Fees. eBay

help get your item featured on the homepage. Canadian dollar
listings will show up on all eBay sites if you choose the ship
internationally option when listing your items.
If you have suggestions about the Canadian site send email to

eBay plans to make changes to eBay Motors in the next few weeks
* Search for items in all of eBay from eBay Motors
* Improve the design:
- Background color on all eBay Motors pages change to white
- Small and hard to read fonts made more readable
- A new Home Page that will look and feel more like eBay.com
* Improvement of the category structure:
-New categories for the Collector and Motorcycle users will
enable browsing through the following listings
-- Collector: Parts
-- Collector: Accessories
-- Collector: General
-- Motorcycle Related: General

Changes eBay has already made
* Returned Automobilia categories back to the eBay.com site.
* Returned Aircraft, Watercraft (Boats), and Farm Construction
equipment back to the eBay.com site.
* Developed Mister Lister functionality for Parts & Accessories on
eBay Motors.
* Changed the Sell Your Item page on the new site for Parts &
Accessories by removing item attributes.
* Developed the ability to browse for All Items within a top-level
* Credited the Insertion Fees for items listed in Automobilia,
Watercraft (Boats), and Farm Construction equipment on eBay
Motors between April 24 and May 3. These credits should be applied
to your eBay account by the end of May.
* Established more links that will enable users to move between eBay
Motors and the eBay.com site. There is a link on the top of every
eBay Motors page titled eBay home, that routes member's back to
the main eBay home page.
* Gave Insertion Fee credits for all items listed in Parts &
on eBay Motors between May 3 and May 12. These credits should be
applied to your eBay account by the end of May.

Despite the desire of eBay users to see certain categories simply
rolled back to eBay.com it will not happen because eBay believes
that dividing automotive categories is not the best long-term
strategy. eBay claims that bidding levels and conversion rates
on eBay Motors are already equal to what they were on eBay.com
and they are changing those areas that have not been as successful.

eBay has not yet sent any official word on the mistake they made
in violating the privacy agreement, and the corrective action taken.
We did get one of those inane customer support emails quoting parts
of the privacy agreement, that did not apply, and recommending we
read the privacy agreement. That after getting the phone call
admitting the mistake. We are waiting for the email that tells
us to clear our cache.
