eBays regularly scheduled maintenance on Friday morning caused
the indexing cycles for Listings to be delayed. As of 14:56 PT
on 5 May listings were current as of 22:25 PT Thurs 4 May

The Feedback Forum and Sell Your Item features were unavailable
for approx 45 minutes on 5 May 15:15 PT for preventive
maintenance. A defective part, after the maintenance caused the
backup system to kick in, which allowed the system to continue
functioning. eBay then took down account information for sellers
for approx 10 minutes on Fri 5 May at 23:00 PT for preventive
maintenance.

No further notices have been posted as to the status on 6 May
as of this writing.   If your auctions were negatively impacted by
these problems email bill-@e... for a refund.

On 5May eBay returned the following categories to eBay.com
Collectibles:Transportation:Automobilia
Collectibles:Transportation:License Plates
Sports:Sporting Goods:Boating (all categories)
Everything Else:Aircraft (all categories)
Everything Else:Equipment:Farm
Everything Else:Equipment:Construction

Sellers can list in the above categories using the regular
selling form or Mister Lister. If you experience problems
with Mister Lister, you may need to upgrade to the most
recent version at

The following categories on eBay Motors are being expired. The
items will remain there until they run their normal course. eBay
will not charge insertion fees for any item listed in these
categories since the launch of eBay Motors on 4/24. Insertion fees
should be credited to seller accounts by the end of May

categories back on eBay.com. More updates about additional fixes to
eBay Motors will be done in the coming weeks.

eBay Virtual Mall requirements
Directory page at www.ebay.com/antiquemalls
1. You must own an Antique Mall in the real world.
2. You must be an eBay Registered User for at least 30 days.
3. You must maintain a 98% positive feedback rating To get rating
divide the total number positives by the total number of positives
and negatives.
4. You must keep your account in good standing with eBay. Account
balance can not be 60 days or more past due.
5. You must commit a minimum level of merchandise per week:
- The minimum level for the program requires 50 items per week.
- The second tier of the program requires 100 items per week.
- The third tier of the program requires 200 items per week.
- The benefits for these three programs are outlined in the benefits
section below.
3) How do I sign up for the program as a seller?
To apply
1. Send email to antiqu-@e... asking for the Antique Mall
Agreement, put Send Antique Mall Agreement in the subject
2. Include the following information
a. Your eBay User ID
b. The top three meta-categories that you sell in on eBay Antiques &
Art, Pottery & Glass, Collectibles, etc.
c. A "Welcome" text section for your Virtual Mall Page
(less than 50 words)
d. A "Mall Info" text section for your Virtual Mall Page
(less than 50 words)
e. A "Contact Info" text section for your Virtual Mall Page
(less than 20 words)
f. A logo graphic for your mall (410x125)
g. Permission to eBay to change your AboutMe Page to be a Virtual
Antique Mall
3. Sign the Antique Mall Agreement and fax it back to 408-626-5060
include your fax and phone number on the cover sheet.

4) The benefits ??? According to eBay
1.Promotion Your Virtual Antique Mall storefront will be a part of the
Virtual Antique Mall Directory. eBay will promote the Directory
page throughout the site. There are three tiers to the program
each tier gets a higher level of promotion on the Directory page
Tier 1 - Antique mall owners who sell over 50 items per week will
be included in the Antique Mall Index within the Directory.
Tier 2 - Antique mall owners who sell over 100 items per week will
be included in the Featured section within the Directory. This will
be in the format of a 50x50 graphical link with text to your Virtual
Antique Mall page. Featured malls are included in the Mall Index.
Tier 3 - Antique mall owners who sell over 200 items per week will
be included in the SuperFeatured section within the Directory. This
will be in the format of a 85x85 graphical link with text to your
Virtual Antique Mall page. SuperFeatured Malls are included in the
Featured section and the Mall Index.
Dedicated Email Support The antiqu-@e... address has
been set up for antique malls to voice your opinion, thoughts, and
suggestions about the program to the Antiques Team.
Participation in eBay Success Stories Program Your eBay story
may be profiled for use in future press-related events.
Virtual Antique Mall Display Sign you can display in your analog
antique mall letting others know you're an eBay Virtual Antique
Mall (available soon).
Virtual Antique Mall Icon on the eBay site (available soon).

5) There are no special fees for participating in this program, the
normal eBay fees that you pay for your listings.
