eBay had another outage today 27Apr, from approx 14:35 PT until approx
14:47PT. If you feel your auctions were impacted by this outage,
email a credit request to bill-@e....

eBay will conduct regularly scheduled maintenance on Friday
morning, 28 Apr between 01:00 PST and 05:00 PT.

eBay has extended the previously announced eBay Motors listing
extensions so that it will now cover items listed from Mon 24 Apr
12:00 PT through Wed 26Apr at 24:00 PT (an addition of a 12 hour
period) extending them by 3 days.

eBay reiterated yesterday's caution about scam solicitations.
1. Do not give out your credit card information. eBay will NEVER
request your credit card information via e-mail or through a pop up
screen or window on their site.
2. Do not give out your password. Giving out your password
will compromise the security of your eBay account. Change
your password on a regular basis at

eBay today announced the Virtual Antiques Mall we reported on
in yesterdays TAGnotes. We have not received a response from
eBay support yet about criteria requirements to get listed.

Yahoo Auctions has joined eBay and Amazon in making shortsighted
decisions that hurt their sellers. They have cut days an auction can
run down to 10 days from 14, and now only allow 2 automatic
relists where they used to allow 5. Since Yahoo does not have the
number of bidders as does eBay, mutiple relists are very necessary
to get a sales to time spent listing and relisting ratio that makes
listing on Yahoo cost effective. We have emailed Yahoo about this
and will post any response we get. Thanks go to the TAGnotes reader
who spotted these changes and sent them to us.
