At 18:59 PT, eBay reported that there was slowness with parts of the
system, including viewing Item pages and Bidding, and that they had
resolved it by 20:42. If you feel your auctions were effected by
the 2 hour slowdown, we recommend you request refunds by sending
an email to bill-@e....

There is lots of buzz about eBay allowing the VERO police to shut
down auctions in a more capricious manner all the time. Amway
appears to not be allowing any auctions to run, and more and more
companies are shutting down auctions, even when they have no legal
grounds to do so. eBay allows the VERO copyright/trademark/patent
owners to shut any auction down by simply requesting eBay to do so.
eBay does no investigating or follow up, that is left to the person
whose auction was shut down. The auction gets shut down
merely on the VERO partners say so.

Listings, currently approx 4.3mil

AuctionOctopus is another, relatively new, Meta Search Engine site.
As all the others do, they too claim to be far superior to all the
rest, so we ran a test on the site exactly as we did for the meta
search report. We found AO to be comparable to AuctionRover, and
BiddersEdge with approximately 50% of auctions showing up in search
as compared to going to the auction sites and searching. Providing
a very average result. The site is attractive, and easy to use,
but has no real standout features to distinguish it from any of
the other meta search engine sites, except maybe for the cam on
their pet octopus mascot. http://www.auctionoctopus.com/
