eBay has put their new help features in place. They have added
frequently asked questions to the bottom of several main pages
(Bidding, Item, Search Results, etc), and also a click link to
contact support for additional information or a personal response.

When you click on contact support you will find an instant help
feature. Choose a topic and the question that best relates to you,
and the search engine will find the answer. If instant help
doesn€ '²t
answer your question, you can click the customer support link to
send a message to support. They have also added a new billing page
to answer questions about credit cards, payment schedules, etc. and
a basics page with questions and answers relating to major areas such
as Bidding, Selling, Registration, etc. This page replaces the old
overview page.

Sellers without a credit card on file were unable to list auctions
for approximately one hour on 28 Mar from 1840PT t0 1949PT even
if they were grandfathered and therefore not required to have a
credit card on file. eBay fixed this system glitch, and will
monitor it.

eBay is encouraging local trading to facilitate using eBay for
sales of large, hard to ship items like cars, appliances, and
furniture fragile, breakable items like glassware, computers,
and chandeliers. Select a region to sell to. Buyers can search
regionally. http://pages.ebay.com/help/basics/regional.html

eBay is extending the boldface titles into search results. boldfaced
items will now be boldfaced in search results. The charge for
boldface titles will remain the same for now at $2.00 per listing.
All Items listed with the boldface option after March 23, 12:00 PT
will be flagged to appear as boldfaced in search results.

Listings, currently approx 4.4 mil

Andale has a public relations nightmare on their hands. They ran an
invitation only special promotion that was supposed to be from 20
through 31 March, whereby every auction launched through their site
would earn the seller $5.00. Today 29 March, with no prior notice,
they ended the promotion early. The folks participating are
responding with great anger, as many had auctions prepared to list
based on the offer and have now had the rug pulled out from under
them. Andale is planning on starting on charging fees to use their
management tools effective 1 April. Instead of encouraging seller
loyalty, they have managed to alienate the involved sellers, at what
probably is the worst possible time. We recommend that if you are
one of the participants you should write to Andale and express your
feelings about this situation. http://www.andale.com
