eBay has completed the Billpoint pilot program and will officially
launch the Billpoint online payments service in the next few weeks.
U.S. sellers using Billpoint will soon be able to accept credit cards
from international bidders on eBay. There will be around-the-clock
customer support.
It is the seller's choice when or if to use Billpoint and buyers do not
need to register with Billpoint to pay for items with their credit
cards.

eBay will delete old, outdated pages from their system a week from
today. Update your bookmarks. You can recognize an old page from the
“text” navigation bar at the top of the page. To find the new pages
use
the sitemap. http://pages.ebay.com/sitemap.html
Within the next 30 days eBay will change the Sell Your Item form. This
form is supposed to make it easier to find the right category for items.
New form link is at: http://pages.ebay.com/sell/index.html
Current form is at: http://cgi5.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ListItem
ForSaleShow&item=0&category=0&oldstyle=0&page=1&u=0
eBay is placing a separate section for escrow on the Sell Your Item form
with three option: a. I will accept escrow, buyer pays, b. I will pay
for escrow c. I will not accept escrow. The default selection will be
option (c) I will not accept escrow. If the seller will not accept
escrow, there will be no mention of the escrow on the View Item page.
Sellers who select online escrow while listing an item prior to this
change, the View Item page will state "Escrow: Accepted if buyer pays
for escrow, during this transition period while this change is
implemented. Preview changes at:

Today eBay launched two new community features. Community Help,
provides a place to find answers, ask questions, and help other users in
combining eBay support and users in an organized, threaded format that
includes search, email notification, typical of normal chat board
format. Member questions and answers will be archived. Users will be
able to ask questions in 16 boards that are divided by topic. Both eBay
staff and users will provide answers, allowing ebay to continue to use
the free labor of their users. The second feature is the User to User
Discussion boards. These boards are also threaded in normal chat board
format. They will be archived. eBay Town Square, the eBay Soapbox and
Current Issues are the first three forums introduced by ebay today.
These new boards will not
replace any of the existing boards.

eBay has provided clarification on their new advertisements policy.
1. There are no restrictions on the credit text other than font size.
You can use any color or style on your text as long as the text is no
larger than HTML font size 2 (which is the default font size in HTML).
2. You can display the logo of a company or affiliation that provides a
service relevant to your listing, such as a Visa logo, PayPal logo, OAUA
Logo etc as long as the logo is no larger than 88x33 pixels and the
company performs an essential function related to your listing.
3. You may link to your own web page so long as you comply with the
new eBay policies on linking to it. The link should not advertise other
items or the fact that you may have other items for sale on your web
page (THIS IS A MAJOR CHANGE). The links to your own web site must
comply with the guidelines outlined in the Advertisements policy. Not
permitted are links to other auction-style trading sites; links to sites
offering the same merchandise for the same or lower price; links to
sites offering merchandise prohibited on eBay.
eBay says their intent was not to inhibit the ability to merchandise
your item or you as a seller. You can use the links and logos you need
to inform the buyer of the methods you use to accept payment or
shipping, and provide useful information that helps describe you, such
as your membership in an association. They have re-written the policy to
reflect these clarifications.
